Mama Ginger & the Red Hots serve up a fiery blend of Blues, R&B, and Swing, delivered with heart, soul, and a plenty of sass!
Based in Northeast Wisconsin, the band is fronted by powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Erin Krebs, a 10-time Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Award-winning artist whose voice channels Etta’s grit, Aretha’s soul, and Ella’s chops. With a dynamic mix of soulful originals and fresh interpretations of blues and R&B classics, Mama Ginger & the Red Hots bring energy, emotion, and exceptional musicianship to every performance.
Erin’s original song “Ride or Die” earned the 2024 WAMI Award for Blues Song of the Year, while Mama Ginger & the Red Hots have received three consecutive WAMI nominations for R&B Band of the Year (2024–2026).
Featuring a stellar lineup of seasoned musicians, including Erin’s longtime musical partner and guitarist Jeff Johnston, the band delivers tight grooves, expressive musicianship, and undeniable chemistry. Erin’s original compositions draw from traditional blues, classic soul, funk, and swing, blending heartfelt storytelling, playful wit, and irresistible rhythms.
